Several years ago now, I was a mess. A mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted nurse with a body that was falling apart. Chronically anxious and having meltdowns in my car. Deep in debt and behind in taxes because I couldn’t rally the mental resources to deal with my finances. After years of studying full time plus working 12-16 hours 4-5 days a week, I was completely, utterly drained and I had nothing left to give...nothing to my career, my spouse, my family or my friends.
Something had to change. So, I started my quest to figure out how to overcome chronic anxiety, persistent fatigue, stress and burnout layered over top of moral injury and vicarious trauma. Little by little, month by month, year by year and thousands of hours and dollars spent, I healed.
What I discovered is, it doesn't have to be hard or take forever. You don't have to spend 300 hours to become a Yoga teacher or a decade meditating in a cave. You can start feeling better today. And that's why I decided to host this summit. So I along with other healthcare and professional leaders could share simple and effective strategies we've discovered through experience, research, trial and error, and everyday practice putting one step in front of the other on our own journeys.
My goals with this summit are to empower you, lift your spirit and show you real steps to break free of the burnout cycle now. This information altered my life forever, and I know it will do the same for you.
